Student Insurance Digitalization for PREVAS

Context
The insurance brokerage and consulting firm PREVAS wanted to modernize its student insurance offering by fully digitalizing the subscription, payment, and policy management processes. The goal was to improve the customer experience, reduce processing times, and automate time-consuming manual tasks.
Identified Issues
- Manual subscription process, leading to errors and delays.
- Difficulty verifying payments in real-time (CMI, Wafacash, bank cards).
- Lack of strong security during order placement.
- Complexity in reconciling data between the insurance company, payments, and the PREVAS application.
Solutions mises en œuvre
We developed a dedicated eCommerce platform offering a smooth and modern user experience with an intuitive interface allowing students to subscribe and generate their insurance certificate in just a few clicks.
For automation and time-saving purposes, the platform integrated external APIs such as the insurance company’s API: enabling the instant transmission of subscription data and retrieval of issued policies, along with card and cash payment APIs.
Implementation of One-Time Password (OTP)
To enhance security and verify the student’s identity during the subscription process, we integrated the One-Time Password (OTP) in the order placement process.
Automatic Payment Reconciliation Module
A module was set up to reconcile CMI and Wafacash payments, insurance company data, and paid orders in the platform. This module allowed the automatic reconciliation of payments received from CMI and Wafacash with paid orders and automatically detected discrepancies when present.
Conclusion
The digitalization of student insurance allowed PREVAS to gain efficiency, security, and scalability, while offering a modern and reliable customer experience.
This new platform reduced subscription times, improved customer satisfaction, and increased productivity for the sales and support teams.
